This amount lets us take care of the essentials while keeping some flexibility in our back pocket. If a great opportunity comes up or something unexpected happens, we want to be able to say yes without scrambling. Think of it less as "we need exactly this much" and more as "this gives us a solid foundation with room to breathe."
